About the Role

As a Senior Tech Support Engineer, you’ll be the go-to technical expert for remote IT support, automation, and system administration. You’ll manage advanced troubleshooting, guide junior engineers, and ensure smooth operations across Microsoft, macOS, Azure, and security environments for clients in a fast-paced MSP setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote support to the IT Services Team via Teams, email, ticketing system, and phone.
  • Act as senior technical resource for ConnectWise PSA and ConnectWise Automate, including systemwide upgrades and Azure-based troubleshooting.
  • Serve as primary automation and scripting engineer within ConnectWise Automate (PowerShell expertise required).
  • Ensure 100% deployment and version control of management and validation tools across all managed systems.
  • Configure, deploy and manage cybersecurity tools such as SentinelOne and BlackPoint Cyber.
  • Perform scheduled off-hours maintenance for firewalls (primarily SonicWall), wireless controllers, switches, servers and desktops.
  • Deliver Tier 1–3 technical support, resolving issues in Windows and macOS environments.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer and network issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, tickets, and procedures.
  • Accurately log time and ticket details in accordance with company standards.
  • Lead in troubleshooting complex, escalated issues and mentor junior engineers.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, or related field.
  • Strong English language skills (written and spoken).
  • 5–10 years of experience in remote IT support roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 and macOS support.
  • Solid understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Independent worker with reliable internet connectivity.
  • Availability during US Eastern Time business hours, with flexibility for off-hours work.
  • Prior MSP experience is required.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with RMM, PSA, and IT documentation tools.
  • Familiarity with modern security tools (MFA, antivirus, backup).
